C.J.Furey was appointed to deliver groundworks and concrete works for a £12.5m development including a brand new cinema and leisure complex at intu Potteries Shopping Centre in Stoke-on-Trent.
The 58,000 sq ft site included all external drainage, all external service ducting, piled and traditional foundations, bulk excavation, in situ and pre-cast concrete works – including retaining walls to a height of 12 metres – concrete slabs in new and existing structures, high specification paving and Section 278 Works.
We worked closely with Wates Construction to provide value and time engineering proposals in order to reduce costs, simplify buildability issues and shorten construction timescales.
